Joule is the result of many years of professional experience and a gap that was uncovered in the process.

Having worked in college admissions, financial services, political engagement,  the utility sector, marketing, nonprofits, and recruiting, Joule Founder and CEO, Lauren Olson, has seen a variety of industries and has developed a broad range of expertise.

Over the years, she spent many hours mentoring early career professionals asking, "I'm looking for a career change -- I'm not happy, but I don't know where to begin!?"

Taking what she knew across these industries, she found herself developing tailored professional plans based on a person's core strengths, realities and goals. As a loyal functionalist, Lauren began thinking, "what if we were more proactive in our approach to career pathing... not while into your career, but before?!"

This is where Joule began;  a simple idea that grew into a full-scale operation based on a person's unique attributes, skills, ambitions, hopes, dreams, and desires -- with a healthy dose a realism and thoughtful consideration.
